  • Let the oil get heated in a skillet; add onion and garlic; saute, covered, for about 7 minutes or until golder; stir occasionally.
  • Add the onion-garlic mixture and the remaining ingredients to the container of a food processor.
  • Process until smooth; adjust seasoning to taste; transfer to a crock and pat it inches.

  1. Good little vegan spread! I made it using fresh herbs (of course, used more - about 1 tsp fresh thyme and 1 tbsp chopped basil). It is very similar in taste and texture to hummus and would probably work well using chick peas instead of white beans. I added three caramelized garlic cloves, since I had some in the fridge and I'm crazy about their flavour, but the pate was also very good without them. Thanks for sharing!
