Pretty good! I used 2 galas, 1 granny smith, 4 small dates (I think medjools are rather large compared to the dates-in-a-bag from Dole or Aldi), and only 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. I thought that was still too much cinnamon for my taste. Very easy recipe! Thanks! Reviewed for Healthy Choices ABC tag game.

Simply delicious and delicious in its simplicity :) I will be trying this in other recipes (baking and such), eating it with granola and/or yogurt cheese and attempting to make fruit leather with it with my dehydrator!!! Possibilities are endless :) - Thanks Missy Wombat!!!

I think this is outstanding! The dates give extra sweetness, and go quite well with the cinnamon. I made half the recipe, which gave me quite a lot of applesauce. I spooned it over yogurt, and crushed meringues on top of that, then it went into the freezer for an hour...superb! I also did the same with a whipped, aerated fromage blanc, and this was also really excellent!

This was interesting. This is the first raw food vegan recipe I've ever tried. I don't have a food processor, so made this in a blender....a little difficult to process. I'm sure a food processor would have worked a lot better. At first I had trouble adjusting to the taste and texture of the raw applesauce, because it was different from what I'm used to. For a beginner, I think the raisins are a 'must'! Also, I think the cinnamon was a bit strong. I'm not sure if the cinnamon is trying to make up for the lack of sugar, but it was too much for my taste.

Uncooked Applesauce
