This is a raw food vegan recipe which I have not tried. Posted because it is different and raw food vegans definitely push boundaries.

  1. Place apples, cinnamon, and dates in food processor.
  2. Process untilmixture is the consistency of applesauce.
  3. Place mixture in a bowl and stir in raisins.

Pretty good! I used 2 galas, 1 granny smith, 4 small dates (I think medjools are rather large compared to the dates-in-a-bag from Dole or Aldi), and only 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. I thought that was still too much cinnamon for my taste. Very easy recipe! Thanks! Reviewed for Healthy Choices ABC tag game.

Simply delicious and delicious in its simplicity :) I will be trying this in other recipes (baking and such), eating it with granola and/or yogurt cheese and attempting to make fruit leather with it with my dehydrator!!! Possibilities are endless :) - Thanks Missy Wombat!!!

I think this is outstanding! The dates give extra sweetness, and go quite well with the cinnamon. I made half the recipe, which gave me quite a lot of applesauce. I spooned it over yogurt, and crushed meringues on top of that, then it went into the freezer for an hour...superb! I also did the same with a whipped, aerated fromage blanc, and this was also really excellent!
