Of all the taco seasoning recipes on the 'zaar, I chose this one because it had coriander and no bouillon. I left out the crushed red pepper flakes (household of weenies)and used it to make crockpot chicken taco meat (#4957). It was very close to the flavor I have been looking for. I ended up adding a little more garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar per 3 tablespoons of mix, and a few generous dashes of cinnamon. It's very good, and I will probably tweak it a little more, after I see what it tastes like after sitting overnight (if there is any left!) Thanks for posting

I cut the recipe in half and that equaled about 1.25 oz. With the cooked meat I added 1 oz of the seasoning mix along with 3/4 cup of water. I brought it to a boil and cooked and stirred for 5 mins. The chicken turned out wonderful, lots of flavor.

This was a good recipe. I made only 1/2 and had a bit leftover, doing a 1lb of beef. If I made the whole recipe, I think I would have gotten 3 servings? Anyway, a wee bit spicy and I definitely added salt. It was good, but a lot of spices and it wasn't complete love. I appreciate the recipe tho', thanks for sharing!
