    FLKeysJen's Note:

At Oktoberfest, some of us had to drink these every other round, to pace ourselves for drinking from sunrise to sunset. The English have been making shandys since the 1600s. This version is from Eating Well magazine. If you prefer, you can substitute 1 1/2 cups ginger ale for the seltzer and frozen limeade.

We tried this Shandy today both ways - as written and also by substituting ginger ale for the seltzer and limeade. My favorite was the one with ginger ale. This was a refreshing change from the way I usually like my beer, Michelada style (poured over lime juice in a glass with a salted rim). We used the ginger ale that comes in a glass bottle, as it has a more pronounced ginger flavor. Thanks Jen, this will be added to my beer rotation!

I couldn't find limeade concentrate here so I took ginger ale as you suggested and lime juice as loof suggested and liked it a lot. I made it with a Pilsner as what I usually have when I mix beer with something. Here in Germany, we mix Sprite and beer and this reminded me of that. It is nice cool drink on a hot day. Thanks for sharing! Made for ZWT 8.

This was pretty good, light and refreshing. I used lime for the garnish since limeade was in the mix, and added a squeeze of fresh lime juice as well. We enjoyed this!
