  1. In a blender, puree 2 cans of black beans and set aside.
  2. Under medium heat, sauté onion and garlic for about five minutes In a medium size pot.
  3. Add salt, pepper& splash of dry sherry.
  4. Add puree black beans, 2 cans of whole beans, cumin, chili powder, bay leaves, cilantro and more salt and pepper if needed.
  5. Lower heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.

Very yummy!! I needed to add a bit more cumin and some Braggs, but it turned out really lovely. We also took the suggestion of serving it with mexican rice.
