Squeeze the lemons and oranges. Strain the juice through cheese cloth. (Unless you use a self straining juicer.).

Dissolve the sugar in water, add the lemon and orange juices, pour in a bottle/pitcher with one piece of orange peel and refrigerate. Serve cold after a few hours.
A good reminder that we don't need to buy koolaid mixes, we can make fruit drinks from actual fruit. With some very sweet oranges, I used half the sugar. Overall, I found this too watery, like if the ice had melted and diluted the drink. I would use at least one more and maybe two of each fruit.

This was delicious. Made a big pitcher and we (family of 3) finished it in a couple of hrs, then I was asked to make it again. It was great. I never thought of combining lemons and oranges but the result was so good. We really enjoyed it. I will definitely make it for my Romanian family next time I go.

This was so refreshing and delicious! I knew I'd love this because I love oranges and lemons. You can't go wrong serving this on a hot spring or summer day. Made for ZWT4 and the Tastebud Tickling Travellers.
