Use crisp apples for this (organic gala or pink lady apples are my personal favorites). Sometimes I eat this plain or mix in some coconut cream concentrate, available at tropicaltraditions.com. I also like to vary the spices (pumpkin pie spice, cardamom, etc.).
Directions:
1
Coarsely grate the apples (I don't peel them if they are organic).
2
Sprinkle with spice of your choice.
3
Add a few drops of lemon juice if desired.
4
Enjoy!
Ratings & Reviews:
Wonderful. DD (toddler) liked this a lot and it's a good way to get her to eat apple as she doesn't like regular apple sauce because it's mushy and I don't want her to choke on big pieces. I thought this was refreshing too. I used gala apples which I peeled as they were not organic and used Pumpkin Pie Spice and no lemon juice out of preference as it bothers our skin raw.
