Pear Sauce

ingredients
- 6 cups pears (pared, cored and diced, any variety)
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
directions
- Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cook 10-15 minutes or until pears are tender.
- Puree in blender and store in fridge or freezer.

ABS:)LUTELY INSANELY YUMMY! I had 3 overripe Bosc pears about to go in the trash when the inspiration struck to try and make pear sauce. I found your recipe and voila! I only had 3 pears, so I halved the recipe. I used *turbinado sugar* and added a couple of dashes of *cinnamon*. These never actually made it into the blender to make sauce, however. We decided to use the chunky pears over oatmeal. Would also make a delicious addition to vanilla ice cream. FANTASTIC! Thanks!
