This is a good way to use your ripe or over ripe pears. I use this for my pear bar recipe. It can also be used in preparing low fat baked goods. Make a lot and freeze it while the pears are in season.

I was given a bag of pears from a neighbour's tree and decided to make pear sauce. This was exactly the kind of recipe I was looking for and it worked beautifully. Thank you very much for posting.

This is yummy! I used it in a pear bread recipe and the bread turned out delicious. I also like the sauce by itself.
