    Directions:

      Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.

      Slice the tomatoes in half lengthwise.

      Place cut side up on baking sheets.

      Combine the salt and sugar.

      Sprinkle a little bit over each tomato, about 1/2 teaspoon.

      Place in the oven.

      Cook slowly for 10 hours.

      Allow to cool.

      Refrigerate for later use.
