This was delish. I served it with Jambalaya (#42412) and cornbread for a delicious meal.

I LOVE okra and tomatoes and I thrilled to see this recipe. My grandmother used to make this all the time and I'd forgotten about it! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this recipe! Made while travelling through Africa with the Babes. ZWT4

Good and simple. The softer sweet onion flavor makes this dish. And there really is minimal slime!

MMMMM okra! What a treat this delicious dish was! This must be served with a bottle of Louisiana hot sauce on the table. This version is better than the one I get at a local Cajun place. Thanks. I'm making a second batch tomorrow because me and Dugan ate it ALL before the night was even over.

My husband, two year old son, and I enjoyed this dish. My husband added parmasean cheese to half of his. My son kept asking for more even though we told him it was gone. I had to show him the dish we served it from that it was empty. It was a simple and sort of comforting dish. I am sure I will make this again.
