K.c. Masterpiece Original Barbecue Sauce

Another keeper clone-very good. Please note it must stand in the fridge overnight before using.

• Total Time: 50 mins
• Prep Time: 5 mins
• Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients:

Yield: 1.5 cups

• 2 cups water
• ¾ cup light corn syrup
• ½ cup tomato paste
• ½ cup white vinegar
• 3 teaspoons molasses
• 3 teaspoons brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon onion powder
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
• 1⁄8; teaspoon paprika
• 1⁄8; teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over high heat and whisk until smooth.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook for 45 minutes or until thick, STIRRING OFTEN.
3. Remopve from heat and bring to room temp, place in a sterile jar with a lid and let stand overnight in the fridge before using.
4. Will keep up to 1 month.

Fantastic BBQ sauce Mysterygirl, it does taste almost the same to K.C. Masterpiece...very easy to put together also..big taste with minimal work...just what I like!... I brushed it on top of my broiled pork steaks, it gave them such a wonderful flavor. I highly recommend this BBQ sauce....Thanks for posting, I will be making this again :-)

Great BBQ sauce that I used on grilled chicken. Loved the addition of the liquid smoke. Plan to keep a jar of this sauce in the fridge during grilling season. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
