Traditional hot mulled cider with white wine 'Glühmost', and the more common red wine version 'Glühwein' are served throughout the cold weather season, and are sold by-the-mug at outdoor Christmas Markets in Germany. Delicious!
I used a dry white wine to make this. The honey was a welcome addition or the drink would have been quite tart. All in all, a delightful drink for a cold winter night. Made for Comfort Cafe- Snow Queen Round 01/10.

Oh, this definitely warms the cockles of your heart! I started drinking this yesterday morning, and I've got to say, it certainly got me started off on the right foot for cooking. I didn't have any Riesling, but used a Leibfraumilch. And I agree with KissKiss, the honey is definitely needed. Gives it a much smoother taste than without it. Thnx for sharing your recipe, BecR. Made for Comfort Cafe Snow Queen Chalet Winter event 2010.

This is an excellent drink. Not too sweet - in fact, it's nearly sour without the honey, so we added what we needed. Great reviews from my dinner party attendees. Thanks!!
