ingredients

  • 118.29 ml oatmeal
  • 236.59 ml water
  • 118.29 ml butternut squash, cooked and pureed
  • 59.14 ml water

directions

  • Cook 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1 cup water (I just nuke it).
  • Dilute the puree with 1/4 cup water.
  • pour the butternut into the oatmeal and microwave until hot.
  • **You could try adding spices, but i like eating mine with a little sugar.

  1. i adore this combo. i usually leave my squash in chunks and just steam it lightly, and then add fresh cranberries as well. <br/><br/>try it with CHOCOLATE. good heavens! :)
     
  2. We are trying to eat healthier so I thought this would be a good breakfast to try since we love winter squash. SO SO glad we tried this it was AMAZING!! Husband enjoyed it and was able to get through the morning without feeling hungary. Only thing we did different was add a little honey and lowfat milk. This is a new staple around our house. Thanks for the great recipe Je see ka :)
     
  3. A great way to use up excess butternut squash! This would be good for picky eaters, too; my husband didn't even know it was in there!
     
  4. This was really good. I added just a little bit of sugar to make it sweet, but somehow the recipe came out a little smoother than in the recipe.
     
  5. Sounds yummy, as soon as I can get a butternut squash I'll try it. I used to do the same thing with pumpkin puree.
