Only change I made was using only one apple and adding a little butter
to the mash.
Served it tonight with pork schnitzel, sweet and sour red cabbage and green beans with lemon butter.

These potatoes were amazing!! I was a little nervous about trying them, but now I think they are going to be a new addition to Thanksgiving dinner rather than regular mashed potatoes. You don't really taste distinct apple flavor, just delish potatoes. I did add just a little butter (2tbsp) to make them a little creamier.

These tasted great and were the perfect side dish to our Pork, Veal, or Chicken Schnitzel tonight. Since there were only two of us, I halved this recipe, and please forgive me but I left out the apples. I'll make these again with other German dishes. Thanks for a delicious recipe!
