Combine everything in 3 quart or larger glass or ceramic casserole, or large microwave rice cooker.

Cover.

Microwave on High 10 minutes, then on half power 25 minutes, or until tender and liquid is absorbed.

Fluff with a fork and serve hot!

Nice, slightly nuttier and chewier than white rice. I like the microwave directions, but I'm wondering if anyone else's exploded? :) (it cleaned up easily surprisingly). My 12-year old son enjoyed it. The only thing I'll do differently next time is to keep a closer eye on it.

Forbidden Rice is somewhat expencive, I mixed 1/8 of a cup with one cup of regular white rice to make what I thought would be a "Salt and pepper look" Suprise all the rice turned out black or dark purple anyway, with a diferent taste. I used a rice cooker, but I guess stove top would work too.
