- 425.24 g can of drained white beans (borlotti)
- 14.79 ml tomato paste
- 29.58 ml water
- 1-2 garlic clove, crushed
- 4.92 ml lemon juice
- 2.46 ml ground cumin
- 1 spring onion, finely chopped
- 0.25 ml chili flakes (optional)
directions
- Add all ingredients to a food processor, except for the chopped onion and chili flakes (I have used a stab mixer successfully).
- Blend until you get a good dip consistency.
- Transfer mixture to a serving bowl and stir in onion and chili.
- Serve with veggie crudités or crackers, and do not feel guilty.

This tastes like refried beans to me. The ingredient list does not say what size can of white beans to use and I had a 15 oz can of navy beans or a 19 oz can of cannelini beans. I opted for the navy beans and thought it was a pretty good choice. I had some with homemade tortilla chips tonight and plan to take the rest to work for lunch tomorrow with lots of veggies.
