This was really easy to make! To cut down on calories, I changed this a bit and started with 1/2 cup of skim milk (since I'm always looking for a way to get some calcium!)instead of the orange juice, eliminated the pineapple and added more ice.

Overall, fruity and refreshing. However, I didn't have good luck with the vitamin idea(gritty) and would recommend using calcium fortified OJ and adding 1 TBS wheat germ and/or flax seed meal instead of the vitamin for that extra nutritional punch while maintaining the nice texture of this flavorful smoothie. Also, I used frozen banana to make this smoothie thicker and keep it frosty without having to add ice.

Made this in my new ninja, but used more OJ rather than pineapple juice since not on hand

My 2 year-old and I loved this.... but my 5 year-old and husband wouldn't drink it after the first taste. I think it's just a matter of personal taste. It was quick and easy, and just the right consistancy. Thanks for sharing!

I consider this the perfect "base" recipe for a smoothie. I omitted the pineapple juice and used 1/2 cup 1% milk instead to make this a bit creamier. What I like best about this recipe is that it doesn't ask to include ice cubes, nor does it need it. It turned out frothy and tangy. It would be easy to add other types of fruit or double the recipe to make more servings. Thanks!
