Does this taste like commercial rice milk? Yes. Do I like commercial rice milk? Actually no. rice milk is not my thing at all. Just my taste buds and no fault of the recipe. I prefer oat milk. But this recipe is easy, tastes better than most and has an agreeable consistency. It also is very easy to make. So it is a 5 star recipe for those true rice milk fans out there.

this is a good recipe. it sort of makes a concentrated milk and you cut it with water to reach your desired consistency.
because there's no fat in this recipe - i added about 2T, ground flaxseed to the cooked rice and hot water before blending it in the food processor. then i strained the finished milk well. i also added about a tsp. of honey.
the flax doesn't give a bad flavor and adds omega 3's.

Easy to make and a great alternative to cow's milk! I didn't strain mine and it still tasted fine, although there were fine pieces throughout. I also used brown sugar instead of maple syrup, and added a HUGE sqeeze of honey! For reference, this recipe is actually the base for the milk, you adjust it with more water to your personal liking. I'm definitely keeping this recipe!
