  • In a 3-4 qt crockpot, combine the apples, brown sugar & lemon juice; cook on high 3-4 hours.
  • Mash with a potato masher into the consistency you want; stir in cinnamon & serve warm or cold.

  1. I followed the recipe, with the possible exception of the amount of apples. I did not have a scale, so guesstimated on the 3 pounds. Giving an approximate number of apples next to the weight would have been helpful. As the other reviewer indicated, there was a lot of juice. Way too much juice. I have made crock pot applesauce with another recipe in th past with better results.
     
  2. I had some apples to use (mostly granny smith), so I went with this. I felt it was a tad too much lemon juice, next time I'd mix the lemon juice with water and dip the apples before cooking instead of having so much juice in the crock pot. Good amount of sweetness and spice though. Thanks Trnquilit! Made for PAC 2012
