    Kittencalskitchen's Note:

The addition of taco sauce makes this recipe stand out, I used Old El Paso spicy for this but any brand will do. I advise you to make this chili a day in advance, it will give the flavors a chance to blend even further. You can adjust the seasonings to taste.

Made this last night for dinner and the only thing I did differently was used cubed up chuck roast for the ground beef and cut the recipe in half. It was delicious, but next time I will use ground beef to make it a little thicker in texture. Served with "Jiffy" Roasted Corn and Jalapeno Cornbread#108414 and a green salad topped with Sugar Pecans#92933. Another fabulous meal. Thank you!

My oh my! This was deIiciious! I chose this recipe for the cookathon for Kittencal because it hadn't been rated yet and because it looked good. I made very few changes-a red pepper instead of green because I didn't have green on hand and only one can of beans because DH isn't crazy about them. I used one jalapeno because that is all I had, but ended up adding about 1/2 to 1 tsp. cayenne to up the heat factor. It was just about a perfect amount of spice for us. The turkey sausage was nice, a different texture to the beef and added to the flavour. All in all, a really great chili recipe!
