This is a great alternative to meat and cabbage rolls. I didn't notice it was a Crockpot Recipe. So I made it in a covered casserole dish in the oven. Baked it for a little over 1 hour at 350 degress. I browned the meat, onion added the rice. Cut the Cabbage into the casserole added the meat mixture the soup and water. I also added 1 can of Stewed tomatoes. It was delicious.

Made this for Sunday dinner. Didn't start soon enough to put in crockpot, so did it on top of stove. Let it simmer for 1 hour and it was great. I added some hot crusty asiago cheese bread and we ate to our hearts content! Great recipe, thanks for posting.

A DEFINATE make over and over again recipe! This is soooo good! My husband has NEVER liked anything made in the crockpot - until now -this got rave reviews from him : ) I used ground bison instead of beef and used the prepackaged cabbage slaw mix so there were afew carrots also. Also I used more onions then the recipe listed and added diced celery. At the table my husband added a forkful of saurkraut to his serving and really liked it that way says it adds a little zing to it. Thank you for this recipe we'll enjoy it for years : )
