- 473.18 ml veggie crumbles (mince meat substitution)
- 793.78 g can tomato sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 red bell peppers, grated
- 1 orange bell pepper, grated
- 236.59 ml water
- 118.29 ml hickory flavored barbecue sauce
- 29.58 ml tomato paste
- 14.79 ml marmite (adds "meaty" flavor) (optional) or 14.79 ml vegemite (adds "meaty" flavor) (optional)
- 22.18 ml paprika
- 4.92-9.85 ml chili powder
- 4.92 ml raw sugar
- 4.92 ml onion powder
- 1.23 ml ground coriander (cilantro)
- 1.23 ml ground cinnamon (optional)
- 0.82 ml cumin
- 2 (850.48 g) chili beans (kidney beans)
directions
- Combine everything except beans in a cooking pot. Bring to a boil, lower heat and let simmer about 30 minutes. (Stir occasionally).
- Taste, add more spices if needed.
- Add beans (one with liquid, one drained). Let simmer additionally 30 minute. Enjoy!
