  1. I didn't have rum extract, so I had to leave that out. Even without it, it was delicious! I used Recipe #242479 for the banana part. They go so well with the oatmeal - what a treat!

  2. My whole family loved this recipe. My husband loved the sauteed bananas, but I had to mash them up to "hide" them from my son, cause he is finicky. I had some left over caramel from something else, and drizzled a little on top and it was the perfect accent. I love that (aside from the caramel addition) this is a good, healthy breakfast. Thanks for the variation in something we eat several times a week!

  3. Was tasty, didn't care much for the texture of the grilled banana, added a little raw sugar and cinnamon.

  4. I enjoyed this oatmeal! Instead of sweetening the oatmeal, I sprinkled some brown sugar on the banana slices as I sauteed them. Bananas on the oatmeal, added a little milk - yum!

  5. I found the sauteing of the banana a bit fussy for a day when I wanted to have breakfast and get on with the day. Aside from that it's a great taste change that is quite enjoyable. I used 1/2 a banana and that was plenty for me. The touch of rum flavor gave it something special. Made for PAC, Fall '07.
