Baked Apple Slices

"This Bonnie Stern "Heartsmart" recipe makes about 48 pieces and are a great snack or dessert. Ms Stern suggests eating them with yogurt cheese or fruit sorbet; or as a side dish with savoury foods like pork or roast chicken."

  1. Delicious! I did not add flour to my batch and they came out great!

  2. For me, a nice recipe but nothing special.

  3. I made this with splenda (instead of the sugar) and omitted the flour. They are delicious!! Good warm or cold. I've made them 3 times now for a guilt-free snack. Thanks.

  4. This is really apple season and we have an orchard just down the road SOoooo I am enjoying them to the fullest. Love a baked apple for breakfast and this recipe is so easy & good. I used a wee sprinkle of Splenda instead of the sugar and love the cinnamon.

  5. A bit on the floury side, and I used brown sugar instead of granuilated sugar. I will use this recipie again, with half the flour, but everything else the way I did them. My daughter loved it :) thanks
